Burundi Education Foundation June 2023_Fundraising

We were invited to join this ambitious and disrupting African Educational Project as project managers in charge of instigating, strategizing, implementing, overseeing, and finalizing the funding for Burundi Education Foundation.

During the initiation phase, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of the foundation’s legal framework, bank account, assets, roles, responsibilities, goals, website, and social media presence, and provided thorough recommendations. Throughout the Planning Phase, we diligently researched potential funding opportunities and meticulously formulated a comprehensive plan.

During the Execution Phase (application stage), we tailored each application for funding to precisely align with the specific requirements of potential funders. The final two phases entailed the Monitor Phase (follow-up on receiving and allocating funding) and the Project Closure. This project is still in progress.

Project Scope: overall digital transformation and rebranding of BSfG school by identifying new or better marketing opportunities for innovation and brand improvement.  The school digital re-branding project was divided into several different smaller projects: digital rebranding, PR & inhouse school publication design and publishing.

Digital rebranding & upgrading the school digital social media campaign:

The problem: the social media campaigns had no brand identity, it was not aligned with the brand, it was not reflecting the mission and vision of the school.

The result: a clean, streamline, less painful process in place. A very successful campaign. BSfG is now able to attract a larger and more targeted parent audience, specifically catering to the desired student demographic. Additionally, the local community began to take notice and engage with our new BSfG marketing campaigns both online and offline, generating a marketing buzz, capturing their attention, and ultimately compelling the community to further explore the school’s refreshed brand.

We have undertaken a variety of different business and marketing projects for this client. 

One notable example is the creation of a website from scratch and its integration with an Etsy shop. 

Additionally, we took charge of the complete business event management for The Creative Mile, ensuring all necessary administrative paperwork was in place to host small creatives for this annual event. 

Our scope of work also included media and social media capture and sharing, wherein we devised a captivating countdown marketing campaign and captured footage (videos & photos) over the weekend. Subsequently, we orchestrated a comprehensive social media marketing campaign, covering the event itself and the post-event highlights. 

Furthermore, we excelled in database management, where we developed a user-friendly capture form using Mailchimp. We also trained event staff to proficiently utilize the form on the day of the event, effectively managing the captured data to execute successful follow-up email marketing campaigns on behalf of our client.

Project Scope: media capture for website videos & database management

Our marketing / media team took charge of every step, from scriptwriting to video editing and uploading on the supported platform. Additionally, we organized and built a comprehensive client database and created a geographical location map to highlight their UK-based presence.

The marketing project objective was to develop a comprehensive social media marketing campaign from scratch that effectively projected the new client’s brand concept. Additionally, the project aimed to digitally expand the client’s product portfolio on two online selling platforms: Etsy and Jewelstreet.

To commence, the initial step involved clearly defining the client’s new brand direction and expectations. Subsequently, I provided a detailed project brief to my design team, outlining the requirements for a social media campaign that aligned perfectly with the client’s brand image. Once the client approved the campaign, I efficiently coordinated with my team to schedule the online launch.

Simultaneously, I collaborated closely with my tech team to populate the client’s products on the designated online selling platforms. Excellent listening and communication skills were imperative throughout the project to ensure its successful outcome. Furthermore, my strategic thinking, creativity, and negotiation abilities were instrumental in proposing and presenting the social media campaign to the client, leaving no room for oversight.

Meticulous attention to detail was paramount at every stage of project management, from initiation through to completion. The project concluded by assessing the reach and impact of the online social media campaign and transferring the campaign specifics to the client, enabling them to replicate the process autonomously.

*As a result of this comprehensive approach, our client experienced exponential growth in online reach and a significant increase in online selling opportunities.

Scope of Marketing Project: Comprehensive online presence for the client

The marketing project’s objective was to establish a comprehensive online presence for the client. This entailed developing a website, social media accounts, and campaigns, as well as creating membership products.

This project involved starting with a blank canva and therefore was an exciting new challenge for myself leading the project and for the tech team.

The challenge of training the client in the technical aspects was effectively addressed by developing a comprehensive marketing project business case with well-defined milestones. Additionally, my strong communication skills played a vital role in overcoming this hurdle.

Despite occasional communication challenges arising from language barriers,successful resolution of issues was achieved through the application of patience and clear communication.

My extensive knowledge combined with research in these digital tools played a crucial role, resulting in reduced manual processing time for memberships, increased online media exposure, and more selling opportunities.

As a result, the client achieved a comprehensive professional online presence and optimized their membership process, encompassing information management and seamless online payment processing.
